Honor God Without Harming Other People
Welcome to Day 300 of our journey with Jesus. Today, we think about how we will respond to Jesus. The main truth for today is this: Jesus calls us to examine whether our worship honors God and treats other people rightly. Let’s begin.

We have seen Jesus cleanse, explain, and judge corrupted worship; today His actions turn the examination toward us.
Let Jesus examine more than religious appearance. The temple confrontation warns against assuming that activity associated with God is automatically pleasing to God.
Ask What Worship Has Become.
Prayer, generosity, teaching, ministry, and service can all become entangled with status, convenience, money, or control. Do not assume good labels guarantee faithful motives.
Refuse to Use Religion as Cover.
Jesus’ quotation from Jeremiah is especially searching. Religious participation must never become a shelter behind which injustice, dishonesty, or exploitation is allowed to continue.
Recover the Purpose.
Jesus quotes God’s intention: a house of prayer. The response is not cynicism about worship but renewed alignment with what God desires.
Welcome His Examination.
The cleansing of the temple is uncomfortable because Jesus disrupts what people had normalized. Allow Him the same authority over practices you have stopped questioning, and let worship again turn toward God rather than self-interest.
Tomorrow, the scene moves to the upper room, where Jesus takes the servant’s place before His disciples.
